Alegria, Found in Rio
Magali Pascal, a luxury fashion boutique from Bali, came to Rio to launch ALEGRIA — a collection built on a single idea: happiness, in Portuguese and in spirit. Babilônia was brought on to bring that idea home, translating the brand’s island ease into the city’s own language of color, light, and confidence. The brief called for imagery that felt elegant and sexy in the same breath, warm and cool at once — a tall order the crew took straight to Rio’s most iconic streets and shorelines.
The team shot across three of Rio’s defining backdrops: the beach glamour of Ipanema, the layered textures of the Centro Histórico, and Urca in the shadow of Pão de Açúcar. Each location pushed the story in a different direction — beachside and breezy, historic and storied, iconic and sculptural — while the throughline stayed constant: elegant, beautiful, charming images that held both warmth and cool restraint. It was Bali’s calm meeting Rio’s pulse.
The ALEGRIA collection sold through fast, and the imagery is doing exactly what it set out to do: welcoming a Bali-based brand to Brazil and immersing its audience in Rio’s vibe from the very first frame.
